"Further investigations also reveal that the reason why the Tokyo law firm had originally sent AnimeSuki.com and LunarAnime the letters of warning, was because a particular affilliate company was displeased with "Akane Maniax" being available on fansub before DVD." [from the wannabefansubs forum]
I would like to sum up the whole debacle in the following, short dialogue:
I suspect this is some sort of faggotry based on a belief that japanese people would get the fansubs.
Except of course the fansubbers get their raws off Winny and Share, JUST LIKE ALL THE JAPANESE OTAKU.
EIN KAPITALISMUS, EIN D-R-M, EIN KORPORATION, etc.
Soon, every Japanese company will jump on the bandwagon. Just like ADV.
oh shi
Much as I dislike the idea, I suppose it's time for trackers to start banning .jp.
Care to paraphrase what the pages said?
It's pretty obvious from the pictures, isn't it? It's just a how-to-use-BitTorrent-to-get-anime-from-the-gaijin guide.

The first page is about using bit torrent (doesn't mention anything about the countries of origin)
The second page explains that you can DL adult anime which isn't shown on TV, and the important part being that American versions of these anime are unedited but still have Japanese voices, "so of course you want to watch this version."
Oh, I forgot to mention.... Wasn't that book featured in the Netrunner anime? Did they have something to do with this? It's rediculous to put out a book about something like this.....
Just adding a little more.. orz

There's usually a thread on fansubs on the 2ch anime salon, from what I had read in previous ones, they mainly just argued about weather or not it was ok to make fansubs. Obviously, it's not an overly popular subject considering the current thread is only part 3, but still somewhat popular. But here's some stuff from it which may be of interest.
"It doesn't have anything to do with you Japanese, just leave it alone. Don't get involved. I'm asking you please."
(reply) "Actually, it has a lot to do with us..."
"Did you see the sub of Genshiken ep 2? I'm afraid that it had mistakes, there were not enough explinations. But more importantly, seeing the sub OP, that't how I first knew the correct lyrics."
"You guys watching fansubs, don't make a big fuss. Because of you, fansubbers have had to stop against there will. Don't cause problems."
A lot of the posts are people saying "Stop, you're causing trouble", especially after the Genshiken issue is raised. "Is mircx down?" is asked too. orz Questions about how many Japanese DL them are asked, but are ignored. Soft subtitles are mentioned too..... I don't have time to translate much more, it's a big thread.... There are hashes winny for the genshiken subs though.
In addition to what was reported yesterday, the law firm representing Media Factory has sent letters to several more websites and fansub groups. Members of some fansub groups have stated that they plan to continue fansubbing various Media Factory titles. A spokesperson for Wannabe Fansubs has officially announced that it will ignore the Media Factory request and "exercise indifference." (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com)
GREAT WAY TO CALL THEM OUT ON YOUR PAGE, ANN! (-_-)b
>There are hashes winny for the genshiken subs though.
Yeah that's what I thought - they don't use bt, they use winny.
bt=in English, winny=in Japanese.
>Much as I dislike the idea, I suppose it's time for trackers to start banning .jp.
Nah.
> There are hashes winny for the genshiken subs though.
There are also Share hashes, if anyone cares. I am sharing all subbed episodes as of now.

They're particularly pissed about Akane Maniax which is a for sale only OAV, and which was leaked to the internet 4 days before sales date.
In fact, you really shouldn't list OAVs, period.
</CITE>
You carried things too far.
lol blame it on the list.
Who leaked the oav 4 days before release?

You are kidding me. Stupid English Share users are now putting up fansubs on Japanese p2p, and that thread happens to be Genshiken.
What manner of faggatory is this?
This drama reminds me of a certain AnimeJunkies incident
> Stupid English Share users are now putting up fansubs on Japanese p2p, and that thread happens to be Genshiken.
Japanese Share users are putting up fansubs as well, and last time I checked Share wasn't a Japanese-exclusive software. What's your point?
The raws for the shows came from there in the first place. Why would putting fansubs there be a problem? This whole drama has to do with Japanese users getting fansubs with BitTorrent.
>>18 you prolly fag too much
there is ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM TO PUT FANSUBS IN SHARE
SHARE WONT DIE IF YOU PUT UP FANSUBS, IT DIES IF YOU DONT PUT ANY FUCKING THINGS ON!
please, die, and thank you
>>23 is right but also DQN
