Who remembers this movie? Tenchi Muyo In Love, the first film of the Tenchi series

I first saw it on an early summer morning at around 3 AM on the Sci Fi channel. I was pretty young at the time, around 10 or 11 and I had no idea what anime was. I didn't even really appreciate actual live action films, either.

But after I saw this, that all changed. Up until that time, this film was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. For the first time I felt what a film could do to your emotions and feelings. The strong sense of nostalgia in the film makes you feel like you were apart of something while you're watching it and by the end of it, you're not ready to let go. Even now, almost 7 years later, I still get a twinge in one side of my heart when I see this movie because it was what introduced me to my real passion in life: films and writing.

Ever since I saw this movie, I've always wanted to create something as moving to others as this was to me, either in a novel or film

I love this movie! Do you love it, too?

You can watch this movie without even watching the Tenchi series, and it's still good

I got a crush on ryoko, and didn't see her near enough.

I also saw it on the scifi channel. Maybe the same time, eh?

Neve was able to see this one. But I saw the next one, where Tenchi had an insestuous relationship with his daughter (no joke!)

>>1 I too saw this on SciFi late one 90's night. Though I'd seen anime like Sailor Moon/DBZ before that, those SciFi movies really started to make me appreciate anime more.
