Isn't AX in New York?
I thought there's one in South Cali. around July. Maybe there are multiple AX's?

The REAL AX is in Cali.
there was only one AX in new york; it fizzled out and died after one year. shame; they got REALLY good guests (kawamoto, kanno, and watanabe were all present, promoting bebop, and yoshiyuki tomino himself, to boot).
CLAMP is gonna be at this year's AX.

Actually NY was more of a testing ground for AX Tokyo which was 2 years ago. AX Tokyo was awesome! ^_^...but I'm also glad it's still in my home turf "SoCal"
How is AX Tokyo different than regular AX? Or other cons in Japan for that matter...
