As for gaining employment in Akihabara I know many Otakus from my town who are in demand in Japan for supplying western style comics and merchandise. FYI Japanese people arent just interested manga, and anime, but happen to look abroad for other sorts of entertainnment. I have atleast 7 Japanese penpals who love Spawn. If you can find a store in Akihabara that is in demand for that stuff you could supply that sort of merchandise to them for a lower price that certain online carriers like Amazon. Whoever you are dont give up your dream because people will put you down to make themselves feel better about themselves.
