ok, so i'm like 9 or 10 books into the manga, and wanna hear from some fellow picky assholes what they think of the anime before i watch it.
the manga is made of 10 kinds of win btw.

I managed to watch 3 eps before giving up. The Engrish was atrocious, the animation was cheap, the pace was kinda slow...
But then it's about the music, not the animation. Glancing over a couple of online reviews, I notice they seem to praise it. Your mileage may vary.

Loved it, but that's just me. The "english" they have of the supposed Americans in the series is laughably bad. The storyline is nothing too exciting, but not run-of-the-mill. If you get into it it is extremely enjoyable. Also, it has the Pillows in it (once).

I'm pretty bias because i'm a drama whore.

Is there a drama to whore in this instance?

Apart from the "beautiful singing voice" [spoiler: it's not!], I thought it was pretty good.
