Any way to make them not taste like shit? Sugar just pools at the bottom of the bowl, or maybe I'm doing something wrong. Help.

Splenda isn't heavy enough to sink to the bottom.

Sprinkle the sugar lightly over the whole mass. Spoon it out so that you're taking a piece of a "layer" with each bite, not disturbing the rest of the sugar sitting on top. Repeat when the layer is done. If you get to a third layer, there's probably enough already pooled at the bottom to scrape off a decent amount with each bite.

Or you can try sliced fruits like strawberry or banana. No citrus though.

What's wrong with corn flakes? They taste fine. If you add sugar they'll just taste like sugar -- what good is that?

If you are having problems with sugar, it could just be the type you are using. I assume you are using standard granulated sugar. you might want to try a little powdered sugar instead and you don't need as much. Powdered sugar will mix in with your milk a lot better then granulated.

but granulated sugar tastes better in cereal then powdered

Fresh fruit for the win. Blueberries are nice on top of a bowl of corn flakes. And they have vitamins.

I use half and half, which is heavier (albeit this is expensive and a little on the fatty side, god bless heavy cream), and only a little bit of sugar, since half and half is a little sweet in itself. Of course, this is a real treat when I do this, I usually have to use soymilk (which is much sweeter than cow milk because of the cane juice, but thinner because it's a water base). Damn you, lactose intolerance!

I eat corn flakes with yoghurt/sour milk and honey...never liked having corn flakes with regular milk

1 - Add cornflakes to bowl.
2 - Add milk to bowl.
3 - Mix together so that all cornflakes are a bit wet with milk.
4 - Then sprinkle sugar.

Huzzah, now sugar sticks to cornflakes and not to bottom of bowl.

Blueberries are good. Raspberries also

I never liked fruit with corn flakes, the texture is too inconsistent

I'm allergic to soy milk

Powdered sugar is just as unhealthy as granulated sugar

Solution? Use honey, or eat a bran cereal instead of corn flakes

Eat the corn flakes only, do not add milk

Are you all living in the 1920s? There's this new product called "Frosted Flakes," and there is a big tiger on the box. It's a lot like Corn Flakes, but the sugar is binded directly to the cereal! What a concept...

frosted flakes actually tastes different than corn flakes and I'm not talking about it being sweeter. if yo don't like adding fruits on your flakes try glazing honey on your corn falkes or use choclaate milk instead.

then again I usually eat coco pops
