Is anyone following this? I picked it up on a whim and was hopelessly charmed by Nodame's wierdness.

Nodame Cantabile FTW.

I don't know why people criticize the art, as there is manga out there that looks much worse. Personally, I think the art is very pleasant and peaceful. The covers, especially, are very enticing.

I would agree that the art isn't the best. I probably wouldn't have tried it without someone recommending it to me, even though I loved one of the pages that was posted on image boards. It was the part where they try to clean Nodame's room for the first line, culminating in the "bag of dirt" punchline.

I love this title.

According to the author, Nodame story is going to be "comoposed" of four chapters or "movements".

1st movement: Lesson 1-52(and "prelude to Lesson 53)
2nd movement: Lesson 52-72
3rd movement: Lesson 72(this movement begins in the middle of Lesson 72)...current

Ninomiya also said that the 3rd movement will be pretty large in volume, and the 4th is going to be shoft instead.

Does anybody subscribe the magazine "KISS"? Or maybe I should not talk about it.

Unfortunately, I don't think anyone here would be able to subscribe to it unless they were living in Japan. (T_T)

9 episodes? I thought there were eleven of them.

I don't think I should expect too much from drama makers, but I'm very excited.
Anime... I have more mixed feelings about this. I admit Nodame will fit better for the anime in some aspects, but I don't trust quality of the TV anime shows. They won't be able to synchronize music and charcters playing music.

I would like to see the story after Nodame and Chiaki move to Paris in anime (Volume 10-), as dramatization of this part will be impossible because of language issues...characters are mostly French speaking. I like the current "Paris version" Nodame, the story is more romantic, Nodame finally begins showing off her musical abilities, and Chiaki starts his professional carrier.

Hi, in response to number 10. Actually you can get the magazine through a subscription with Kinokuniya... apparently its 93 for 12 months.
