SuÂp.
So i was just reading through shii's website, when i came accross this passage:
"[...] as soon as it is known to be a cool place to hang out, a horde of idiots comes and makes it kind of suck.
For example, the Something Awful Forums were the place to be from 2001-2004, and 4chan was where it was at from 2004-2006,
and up until recently Reddit was a pretty awesome website, but I would not recommend any of those anymore."
You could say that i am relatively new to the internet, about half a year a /b/tard, which really got me deeper into it.
Anyways, i always had that feeling, but now i knew, i'm always too late when it comes to this stuff. Because i only came
accross SA through 4chan, when both their times were already over. And reddit i joined 5 months ago,
but now it's kinda boring. Too much refugees of digg and cancer from /b/.
I was repressing these feelings of faggotry, tried to live with them; but i love myself too much to go along like this much longer.
Perhaps i should just try to repair the irl things i fucked up these past months and work on myself; but that's so very gay. And i don't even know how to play that game any more.
Maybe what i should do is continue my quest into the unknown depths of the mind; and porn. I don't know.
Tell me where to go...
well i've been visiting this pretty cool website with text-only discussion boards lately. you should check it out. it's called http://4-ch.net/
The web as it one was, a safe haven for nerds, is slowly dying. I've watched this happen with a good few places over the years - first various discussion boards I used to frequent, IRC, 4chan and now other places. This is what you get when the kind of idiots who have Myspace accounts and post "lol random xD" gif montages on Youtube start spreading their filthy tendrils.
I have been a visitor of SA since about 2002 and 4chan since 2004, and the latter has sustained far more damage, going from a place which I visited with a sense of anticipation at just what might be thrown at me today to simply coming out of habit. SA's tenbux seems to be a simple but effective idiot-filter, something that I see myself shelling out for at some point in the near future.
oh noes
what t3h sux
i must go hang with popular ppl on a popular UG website
coz that makes me popular

i suck cocks
Can i be popular?
i suck cocks irl just like OP
>safe haven for nerds
>4chan since 2004
You were clearly never there.
These places will stop sucking when pre-teens stop looking for the hip new e-spot to post their bullshit on. Seriously, we never used the term "cancer", why should you? Because the newer users see it as a place to claim affiliation to, to post for the sake of recognizing their names on the internet, etc. etc.
A good 4chan/2chan thread has been and always will be a series of images one has not seen before that are amusing, interesting or create new memes to dick around with.
Shii is the best example of the kind of snob Anonymous imageboards hate, in one hand he has an article (From 2chan, Shii can't write or produce content) discussing the benefits of anonymous posting - saying that a discussion with names becomes a discussion ABOUT names, rather than anonymous posters which will become about the subject at hand. And on the other hand, shii is a huge faggot who posts his name everywhere he can get it. He also directly stole his name from an ascii character to boost his epopularity.
In conclusion, all imageboards have sucked dick for the past 4 years. I just wish they'd stop posting all the stuff I made.
>A good 4chan/2chan thread has been and always will be a series of images one has not seen before that are amusing, interesting or create new memes to dick around with.
And be honest, how many of those have you seen lately on any board?
I'll admit, however, that I personally do buy into the "SERIOUS BUSINESS" charade a little more than I should about a fucking website.

Shut up because sarcasm doesn't travel through the tubes.

I ended up quitting 4chan and paying the $10 for SA. After a while I ended up starting to visit 4ch, since I like not logging from public terminals. And when I found out that /jp/ exists, I started to go back to 4chan.
Now I waste the same amount of time on the internet as I used too, but now its split up between the 3 sites. They all have their own uses: 4chan is great for images and the flood of information that can occur; 4ch is great for small, more personal feeling discussions; and SA is great for not having to deal with trolls (Excluding GBS, GBS is a shithole).

of course. BFF.
I forget how to play IRL, too. But sometimes I feel forced to because the interwebz gets all gay, lame, and not very lulzy every now and then.
The interwebz is like one big ass caring, yet unmerciful woman. We are in it's womb. She cares for us. Nutures us. Offers temporary respite from the IRL game. She gives us porn and lulz.
BUT SHE IS A WOMAN. Women get periods. When the internet gets it's period, things get lame and gay.
Don't worry. Another fun place will crop up sooner or later.
I think "bad weather" is a better analogy than menstruation.
Today's forecast: boring, expect crapfloods.
