I'd like to ask you a question adversely.
If you come across the person who helped you in the past,
What would you say to him/her in English ?
We Japanese say "その節はお世話になりました”
Sorry for my poor English !
correction
>>114
I dont understand waht does that mean but...
If he helped not long ago you could say
"thank you for helping me (yesterday, this morning...), if i can help you in something, please let me how."
If he helped you a long time ago in something very important you just could thank him, i dont think there is a way to talk with somebody like japanese do
Anyway, wait for a true english speaker to answer your questions
>>114
I'd most likely say something like "Thanks for the help yesterday/this morning" (just put when they helped you), or you could say "Thanks a lot for helping me yesterday/this morning", or if you want to go a bit british, "Thanks mate for the help before/yesterday/this morning" etc etc etc.
My japanese is bad, so I use Rikaichan and my basic understanding of Japanese grammer. to me, if I translated that, it would say:
"Thank you for looking after me that time".
(Is this correct?)
If that is right: What does "Nari" mean in this sentence?
>>115
What he said is good, but with the correction of the mistakes:
"Thank you for helping me yesterday/this morning, if there is anything that I can help with, please let me know", which to me is formal, unformal could be:
"Thanks for helpin' me yesterday/this morning, if there's anything I can help you with, just let me know!"
Hope that helps you :)
>>118
Let me french kiss you.かな?
>>117
With my English ability,It's very tough to explain to you about "nari"
osewa suru is active voice
osewa ni naru is passive voice
and nari is a variation of naru.
Wow,I give up ! I can't tell you exactly what I want to say.
P.S.
You're right. My Japanese sentences is equal to your translation:Thank you for looking after me that time.
But take a look at 110 which is my posting.
>>118
Don't you consider はべらせて as は + べらせて ?
If you do, look はべる up in a dictionary.
(I'm not sure. Perhaps that's because I've slept in the grammer classes.)
does 聞きますか make sense?
>>125
It makes sense but it probably doesn't mean what you want it to mean. If you want "Can you hear me?" that's
聞きますか means "Do you hear ○○?".It's formal.

If guess i understood right anyway (> v<)
I was just looking at a yotsuba page, I just want to know if I have understood this correctly
always today, best fun day
Today is always the funnest day.」
(Thats how i usually translate things)
So, does いつでも今日が、いちばん楽しい日 mean Today is always the funnest day?
Thanks!

In japan, how do you know the game is LOCO ROCO? Since in hira/katakana, LO=RO..?
I used to have a japanese friend, but he stopped logging on so he could become a manga artist's apprentice (being taught while working for someone), if you know anyone like this could you say hi to them? ^^

I have a question.
why is every japanese show on TV based around food and if you win you get to eat food. It's always about food XD
>>158
You misused a particle is all. Its a very common mistake.
You said こんいちわ。
Correct spelling:
Become a Japanese citizen
Can anyone help me know how to become a Citizen? im a perminant resident in US and Citizen in Mexico.
>>164
I guess they can get high viewing rate.
Japanese people are obsessed with food.
P.S.
Have you ever watched a TV program called "dochino ryouri show" ?
It's a typical and trashy program .
Are you planning to buy any of the new game systems?

Please can you explain me what is the difference between ごめんなさい and すみません ?
Who are you ?
I don't think you're a native English speaker.
because you made a mistake about how to use the verb "explain".
Although I'm Japanese,it's a very difficult question.
because I've never thought about such a thing until now.
Let me think it over and I'll definitely tell you something about it later.
In my opinion,......
I'm french so sorry for my poor english.
Hi, nice to talk with you.
Don't you think it's a good idea to try to examine the situations how both of them are used ?
First, when you ask me to do something, you can use both ごめんなさい and すみません.
To give an example,
Second, when you have to apologize to me,you can use both ごめんなさい and すみません.
To give an example,
Sorry,I'm a bit tired. So Let's call it a day.
I'll be back here tomorrow.
>>176
Oops,I didn't notice 179.
Enjoy learning Japanese ! good bye.
What are you doing now ?
How come you named yourself
who is nevada-tan?
I have 2 questions:
do you have four seasons in your country?
can you use chopsticks?
>Can I write in the nevada-tan entry of wikipedia?
Of course.
"Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit."
Wikipedia, the free 'encyclopedia' that any fucknut can edit...but most likely any edit you do will be reverted by the god of that particular article...I recommend human sacrifice to solve that problem.
>>189
I see nobody in the discussion page of the Nevada-tan entry, there isn't even a discussion page. I doubt it has a god overlooking it any more...
OTOH I see that the Japanese wiki version has been so often attacked it's now in locked mode:
http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E9%95%B7%E5%B4%8E%E5%B0%8F6%E5%A5%B3%E5%85%90%E5%90%8C%E7%B4%9A%E7%94%9F%E6%AE%BA%E5%AE%B3%E4%BA%8B%E4%BB%B6
Now that one would be quite a task to write something in. :)
People are always trying to reveal her real name, which can still be found if you really look hard enough.
What's that?
I am a Japanese.
Please teach a popular presentation version in U.S.A.
do you have four seasons in your country?
yes,you can see sakura only in spring!
many american dont know it.
can you use chopsticks?
yes,everybody use it"hashi"
>>196
do you know what "sarcasm" is?
I have another one!
Did you know that type "A" blood is most common in Japan and Germany, while type "O" blood is most common in United States?
Sarcasm is not a big thing in Japan, actually. They don't use sarcasm a lot to answer or make a point.
>>198
So what ?
Are you a sort of person who believe fortunetelling by using types of blood ?
I believe fortunes by spinning a wheel.
Can I buy a vowel?
>>201 I think not. But if I remember correctly, I am type AB, which are supposed to be:
cool
controlled
rational
sociable
popular
critical
sometimes standoffish
indecisive
So maybe I should because that does describe me most of the time. I was just being the "sometimes standoffish" then. :)
I have a serious question, though. I am 21 years old, and I wonder who Japanese girls that are my age tend to like as far as music.
