Where to head from now? (8)

After a pretty steady decline, I've already failed college. How should I go about moving out from home and starting working menial jobs? I'm pretty inept at everything. I have no useful skills in managing my own life like on housekeeping. I don't even have a bank account, I have lost any idea on how society works in general, if I even ever had any. I'm 20.

I'm too much of a coward to even attempt suicide, because of its uncertainty. Am I doomed to become a hobo?

You're only twenty, you still have plenty of time to figure something out. I wouldn't move out from home until you have a steady amount of money saved up. At twenty, living at home at that age isn't completely unnatural.

If you went to a university and failed, try a smaller community college, or technical school.

This is how i would do it..

-get a bank acocunt.
-research what services are available to you in your local area.
EG employment agencies, free budget services etc etc.
-make a CV, do try to highlight your good points, get someone to help you if you can't figure it out yourself.
-join an employment agency or go out and get application forms for whatever job's are around.
-graciously offer to pay what board you can to your parent/s. -avoid spending money on things you don't need.
-save as much money as you can.
-start looking for a place to live once you have built up some savings.
-last of all, look into more education or training, even if college isn't for you, something around might be.

This is coming from someone who has been in your position, so it can be done.

hey your situation is not that bad.

from where i come from (a run down country), most of the people there dont even think about education and have to stark working at very young age to feed their family.

so why dont quit whining already. unless you are unrealistically looking for high paying job that doesnt require a degree, you would find a job if you really want to, e.g. waitress

unless you have some other issues, life is not that bad you know, why would you even think about attempting suicide??

Why worry? Take some time to find yourself. Save money...travel, go places, nobody at 20 has to have their entire future planned already.
