Lust Caution was so-so. Felt like they put in too much unneeded scenes.
Try Muay Thai (the recently rls'd one). There's a custom eng sub on ADC. It'll definitely change the way you think of Thai movies.
The Sympathy Trilogy: Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, Oldboy and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. Awesome movies.

I watched that tonight and it was AWFUL. There were a few scenes that were done extremely well, but the movie as a whole was terrible.
Shimotsuma Monogatari is really good, though, as someone mentioned before, as are Infection and Shall We Dance?.

Pornostar: Not actually about a pornostar. It's about a guy who seems to have no emotions outside of cold rage getting involved with some yakuza. Contains one of the most startling scenes of violence I've ever seen.
Devils on the Doorstep: Absolutely fucking awesome Chinese black comedy/anti-war film. Set in Japanese occupied China at the end of WWII, it's about some villagers who are made to look after two prisoners - a Japanese soldier and a Chinese interpreter. Really stylised, so maybe not for everybody.
This thread is more than a little Japan-centric, but Japan probably produces produces more films that are promoted and readily available in the west, so I don't we can blame it entirely on weeaboo faggotry. (Though it's certainly a factor.)

I watched Vengeance is Mine a couple of days ago. The main character was not the kind of character I'd expected him to be, and was much more interesting for it. Great film, with a different kind of feel to it than any other film about a serial killer I've seen.

My Sassy Girl, I am surprise this has not been optioned for an American remake. I would love to see someone like Seth Rogan in this hilarious romantic comedy.
