How many episodes in the Naruto series are there exactly?
First of all, for those of you that have been watching in the Naruto that has been dubbed and played in America: the voices do not do the series justice.
For those that are complaining about fillers: it can be a long process to animate a show, really long. I know, i do some animation. Fillers are a little easier to do, and they allow the series to expand its borders. The viewers can learn more about the characters or the animators can make new stories they have ideas for. If they just blastedd through the series, it would be over too soon.
Also: people have opinions. if they were all the same, they would be facts. some people like the show, some dont. That's fine.
No one gives a shit about the dub voices. The writing sucks completely when they diverge from the manga, not that the manga is anything terific in the first place. The series has no real defining purpose other than to make money. Thus, they will keep making it for as long as possible and for as cheap as possible. 'expand its borders'? Is that a new way to phrase "fuck we caught up to the manga!"? OVER TOO SOON? FUCKING EPISODE 173 and you are complaining that it would be too short?
The show might not be a complete pile of shit if it wasn't a complete pile of shit, designed to be a complete pile of shit. Naruto is so bad I cannot even watch it MST3k style. Oh and guess what, not all opinions are valid.

Is Fullmetal Alchemist any better than typical shonen fare? I've always been afraid to check it out because young boys beating the odds, and overcoming obstacles spells mediocrity imo.
The Naruto series was mediocre to start then got pretty good actually. Then when a very big climax came around, they statred making fillers... I think we're goin into the 10^ in fillers etc.. I've quit the series XD

I will defend Naruto as far as like the 150ths eps. cause then wbe get shitty fillers. It's a SIMPLE-MINDED anime, a fighting show for little boys. That's fine, I enjoyed quite a bit of the series, and I admit there were some not-so-shallow moments. But overall it isn't the best thing out there. Tough luck, most ongoing series get crappy. This is just a good example. Whatever the reason for the fillers, it was a bad decision because not only did they replace the original artists with other people (the style changed for the worse) but having too many fillers in a row loses audience. It's just not a good idea. Their choice though. I have to say, before going off and spitting bad opinions about the show, I would recommend watching is subbed simply because whether you like it or not, it adds to the quality. No it won't make this a #1 #2 or even #10 on the charts, but it puts it up with "Hey this is a little better than average". Something you watch when you're bored and don't feel you've wasted couch potato time.

One thing. I. Love. Naruto. It has been my favourite series for a very long time and I've been so angry and disappointend because the fillers just go on and on and on..>___> I love how Naruto isn't all about fighting, (I am a grown up girl, not a little boy) but about many other things like loneliness and stuff. I adore the characters and I adore Masashi Kishimoto-sensei for drawing this.
The fillers SUCK horribly. And yeah, I think too that they are kind of a bad decision. Nobody likes to watch 40 episodes of fillers, one after another.. >_____< Geez..

Has anyone read the mangas? They carry on with orginal story with none of the fillers?
2007...so far away....then part 2 is going to come out along with a new fighting game.....so stop complaining....
