4Kids wanted Usopp to be just a guy with a long nose and silly voice who has no manliness when he's SUPER MANLY in the original, for Nami to be less developed (apparently), for Sanji to be a mafia goon (though I actually kind of like his dub voice), and for Zoro to have a stupid name (Zolo). :-P

Yes. That's why the One Piece ones I've seen the covers of have poopy artwork on the covers.
I would go for the former...least that way, you can find subs and you can understand the episode!

There is a Golden Rule in One Piece concerning death: A character can only die in a flashback, ergo the only characters that are dead in One Piece were dead before the series started. To my knowledge this rule still holds true. Oda says that death gives stories a "bad vibe."

Well someone should tell that to the current animators. I find this recap of Captain D. Roger's death at the beginning of every episode very distasteful, and I'm not even Japanese (that weird execution method by two spears at the same time is Japanese, I believe).

I'd totalleh watch an episode where Brooke gets killed. Unfortunately, his Devil Fruit designates that he can't possibly be killed, which sucks. I tihnk someone should take his bones and put 'em lal on different parts of the world in One Piece. One of his limbs in each of the Blues, his skull in the White White Sea, and put some of his dry bones in Alabasta, buried deep underneath the surface of ze sand.
