What kind of Browser r u using now?
I love Sleipinr.
IE8 beta came.
does any one try it?
>>93 wtf
I read that elinks has limited JS support, but I tried it and it doesn't hold a candle to w3m in usability/other features. And now CSS? What CLI browsers are you talking about?
IE8 seems too buggy still.
I'm happy using IE6.
>>102
elinks / links in fact. Usability issues can't be used as an argument against it having CSS and JS support, which it does.
>>104
Fine. But IMO, those are not some of the better console browsers. I guess it's good they exist at least...
sleipnir
IE
Mozilla FireFox and SeaMonkey
FF
Opera in Vista, Firefox in WinXP.
I like Opera more!
inter net exploder
under the situation which all setting is default, sleipnir is the best. firefox is fast at fast though...too slow in the end.
Hello, I am a post using w3mmee wherein it is a browser what lets one
view SJIS characters finely.
Often I am using Firefox, for it is a browser with many plugins that I
enjoy. Memory is not a problem, for my computer is not one that was
manufactured in 1995.
>>114
What's wrong with firefox and SJIS?
I'm really asking, huh?
>>115
It is great fine, but sometimes I am overtaken by great fits of decision.
Well, to really answer your question, it usually gets the spacing wrong, an insult so grave I can barely stand it.
More like some fool wrote SJIS art which relied on the spacing being exactly the same on every single browser. Pretty naive if you ask me. Hahaaa... cookies on dowels.

I browse the web through a browser I coded using my penis.

Firefox 3... I also use Opera from time to time...
This poster is correct.
Also; is Sleipnir not just another wrapper for IE with added functionality?
Firefox 3 with PGO optimization.
lolifox.
www.opera.com
right now, ff1 at work. ff3 at home
Google Chrome
I need my firefox for my userscripts. and chrome's tabs are too far away.
Chrome is terrible
Chrome has no rikaichan/greasemonkey support as of yet. So it is useless to me. also, the tabs are in the wrong place.
safari for pc
SeaMonkey atm
chrome is the worst shit ever. just a safari clone with added spyware. wtf..
Chrome is better than internet explorer, that was google's only goal.
>>Chrome is better than internet explorer
almost same worse.
ie is insecure/buggy, chrome is pure spyware, also google monopoly.
some years ago everyone was arguing against IE because of the M$ monopol and now everyone praises chrome, also when google become a monopol? wtf..
People had a problem with the MS monopoly because they intentionally suppressed competition, and that left every Windows user with a fail browser. Firefox's insistence on adherence to standards, and stress on functionality forced MS to make versions after IE6 almost usable. Google hasn't suddenly stripped all search results for alternative web browsers.
There are other good reasons to question or criticize Google, but afaik they don't have monopolistic influence exerted in any tech sphere.
Google are big on cloud computing (evil evil evil)
> just a safari clone with added spyware.
> chrome is pure spyware,
have you idiots even looked at the source code?
>>104
they have extremely limited CSS support... display: none
doesn't even work.
and javascript doesn't seem to work at all, except for document.write()
.
As for the application ID, Google points to their manager Brian Rakowski, who at the Chromium project issues site states:"There’s a little confusion here that I’d like to clear up. There are two IDs being discussed. They are stored and used separately.
First of all, there is an installation ID (iid) which is created at install time to de-dup install counts. This is necessary to accurately count the number of successful installations that have occurred. The iid is generated randomly (not based on any other information) and is deleted in the next update check after first run.
There is a second ID called the clientID which is used for the user metrics service. This is an opt-in service that lets users send usage statistics to Google so that we can learn how the product is being used for the sake of making improvements. It helps us answer questions like, “Are people using the back button?” and “How common is it that people click the back button repeatedly?” Users can always update their preference about sending usage statistics on the “Under the Hood” tab of options."

no, i just don't believe everything i read on the internet.
it's pretty easy to just look at the code and see what it does.
>>149
duh. the code can still be different to the binary that you can download officially..
>>151
that's why i download the code and compile it myself.

CFLAGS JUST KICKED IN YO
konqueror. hopefully they will make the switch to webkit in the future; khtml just doesn't cut it anymore.
has anybody tried arora?
> konqueror. hopefully they will make the switch to webkit in the future; khtml just doesn't cut it anymore.
and hopefully they'll get it working on windows soon, i really miss konqi when i have to use a windows machine.
> has anybody tried arora?
yeah, it crashes as soon as i click on any of the menus or start typing in the address bar.
3 PERIOD
154 here, posting from arora. no adblock as yet though, and no session saving are my primary gripes. otherwise very nice, fast, lightweight; will keep an eye on it.
hello everyone
hello
Firefox, bitches.
Chrome, bitches.
FF feels slow now. Like, dead pig slow now.
I mainly use Opera, but when I run into a site that seems broken in Opera I switch to Safari, sometimes Firefox. I don't have Firefox in my Dock so Safari is easier to launch.
BTW Macfag...
ie8 beta
>>164
get the fuck out macfag
also I use Firefox.
it's all about the safari. better keyboard shortcuts than j00.
Firefox 1.
FF3 makes IE look good.
safari 4 beta, Google chrome, firefox, and mindfield
IE7 as primary. I use FF3 to download huge files and browse 4chan.
FUCKCUCK
Mostly Firefox (I can't remember how I used to survive before the Tab Mix Plus extension), occasionally Epiphany. On my Windows laptop it's also mostly Firefox, rarely Opera and occasionally Internet Explorer when the others take too long to start up.
Firefox on windows, Safari on mac. I hate IE, slow as hell, shitty tabs etc...
Using Firefox, soon K-Meleon (who the fuck labeled Firefox "fast"?? With all the XUL and shit it's as fast as compiling everything on runtime, but worse).
I just tried Opera. Why the hell do people babble on about how great it is? It's really not very good. It's got rendering issues, offers extremely limited functionality in comparison with firefox's plugins, and very few keyboard bindings (how do you switch to the 2nd tab? oh I get it, you have to click on it, guess alt-2 isn't good enough)
Firefox sucks but it definitely sucks less than the rest of the browsers.
mother fuckers
GOOGLE CHROME
BITCH!!
Marcial
firefox (also, lol iceweasel)
Conkeror
Chrome. It has been quite kind to me so far, although I keep Firefox around for some of the extensions.
gopher doesn't work in chrome.
back to firefox until it's fixed, i guess...
before that it was the lack of adblock that kept me away from chrome, but that was solved by adsweep... if it's not one thing it's another, i guess.
there is a bug for gopher support in chrome here: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=11345
hopefully they'll fix it so i can switch back to chrome.
firefox 3. It may be a little slower than some of the newer browsers, but it runs my twitter feeds, ebay bid warnings, and manages my online comics well, so I am happy.
> twitter ... ebay ... online comics
you are everything that is wrong with the internet.
Firefox + Ifox graphite + Adblock plus + not4chan grab + noscript
feels good man
tear, midori, or chrome.
>>180
More or less why I don't like Debian.
( ・ー・) Firefox is all I need, baby. Simply the best!
>>188
at least iceweasel is better than icecat.
yes, really, there are two of them.
does that mean IE simply lost the battle?
>>185
SHUT THE FUCK UP
Midori.
opera
IE, cus I'm at college lol
opera
firefox for the naughty
chrome if both fail
> chrome if both fail
chrome it is, then.
