I can't be the only one on here who faithfully watches Battlestar Galactica? The second half of the second season just started up again last week.

Did you make it through the long wait? Was it worth it? Who is favourite character? ARE YOU A CYLON?!

... please rant about anything Battlestar Galactica related here :D

I saw the first episode the other day (note: I'm Yurpian). Well, that is, it was advertised as the first episode, but it seemed like the second episode to me.
Anway, I like it so far. Feels very different from the original, but then, I never really liked the original that much anyway. Looks like this one's a bit easier to take seriously.
There are a few things that bother me, though, like the use of pixelated fonts in the computer interfaces and the fact that there are boards of blinking LEDs in a giant spaceship capable of interstellar treval. Oh well, style over substance, I suppose.

The first episode of the first season continues where the mini-series from 2003 left off, so yes, the first episode of the first season really isn't the first episode at all. You should really pick up the mini-series somewhere, everything will make more sense then.

Ah, I see. It seems a bit odd to me, though, that they didn't even put in a 5-10 minute reintroduction for potential new viewers.
Oh well, thanks!

One of the best sci-fi series of all time, along with Babylon 5 and Space 2063 and Firefly.

>>1 can I ask some fans a question? I only see the adverts, so I don't know what happened, but why is the girl who passed someone on a test because they had sex apparently still on the staff?

BAD NEWS everyone.

BSG is being sold to NBC. Under the new agreement, the current writers would be fired and replaced with NBC's own brand of "creative marketers."

BSG Season 3 is going to suck.

Because no body know about it exept adama and lee.
And it's a war for the survival of the human race , and they need everyone they got.
Afterall people got away with far worse stuff than that in BSG.

The new BSG used to be cool in the first season. The second season was pretty nice too, somewhere around there with the non-sucky bits of Babylon 5's second and third seasons, but as of late (and don't even mention the second season finale!) it's turned out to be like Lost.

Anything can happen! And does! Generally out of the blue too! Plot? What plot? X-files had a huge, grand plot arc too, you know.

The rumour perpetuated by >>7 would actually be a good think at this stage, I'd say. Of course if this is true then season 3 is going to be like Earth 2, with evil oppressive robots and not as much traipsing around the Arizona countryside.
