Chrono Trigger DS (7)

they're going to retranslate it and it makes me fucking sick. the new translation is obviously going to be bland as hell. i don't know why square/enix usa can't just leave shit alone these days. the old squaresoft knew how to handle this stuff - they retranslated ff4 for the ps1 port (because it needed it) but left ff6 and chrono trigger alone (because they didn't), aside from restoring some censored stuff.

I heard they will rename Robo as "Robot".

Makes a little change. At least it won't be as bland as the last seven times I've played it.

uhh... most games of that era had some bad translations, man. or frankly, the dialogue was ridiculous. for example, i didn't really see a problem with ff4 when it was ff2. until i saw it again in some of the next iterations, and most notably in the excellent FF4 ds remake, and i saw how much better they could have been.

quit complaining about them actually putting some effort into it, man.

I played FF2SNES recently. That translation was NOT good.

When I die, I want someone to pour shasta on my grave. Delicious.

I've seen some stuff from DS, and it's not THAT bad, but it does sting a bit.

I'll get it anyway. I've not over-played Chronotrigger, so I might not even realize the changes. Actually now that I think about I probably will... Whatever, I think this may be the last game I buy by Square-Enix, the last few games have overly pissed me off.
