I being the lonely engineering student, will probably be busting my ass solving systems of equations with 11 equations and 11 unknowns, all involving current and voltage in ciruitry, and it gets worse when you use more complicated things like capacitors and inductors since they involved differential equations....oops, point being I'll be busting butt doing homework.
I suppose it will be like last year, aware that it is Valentines Day but not really caring since there is plenty of shit to do rather than spend my time moping about it. Video games, anime, school, work, club activities, sports.....
I'm going to present a box of chocolates to a girl who's twice said she loved me in the past week. She was sort of joking or being hyperbolic, but you don't exactly say "I love you" to just acquaintances.
I've been pacing back and forth for over a day trying to figure out how to best present them to her. Do I hide them in her locker? Do I meet her in the front lobby of the school? Do I kiss her? (oh, that's evil)
For me, I've went to the glass shop in my school and taught himself how to make a glass rose for 3+ hours during breaks and after school. I'm planning to hand that rose to a guy who I'm really interested in.

True they're all over the place in college (mine is swimming in the hotness) but the trouble is a lot have boyfriends (the college next to ours steals them all, damn AF Academy cadets) and I find a lot hard to talk to. I always get into friendly conversation but thats where it ends, it really bugs me...

The thing I can't believe though, is that she was so clueless that she never realized what I had been thinking, even though I was trembling, etc. She's a really intelligent person, but I guess book smarts don't give you any experience with the passions of love.

It would have been nice to have a boyfriend or at least a love interest during this time. I always thought it would be sweet to make candies from scratch to give to someone special, but there isn't anyone I care enough about to do that for.

This Valentines day I'd like to sit at home and play on my GameCube and work on C++. But I'll be in uni working on a project I really don't care about. At least I'm forced to go outside and communicate with people. That's not always so bad.

And no, it's not like an everyday gift; because "this is the day everyone around the world do it", so it is special. To make a parallel - taking resolutions on January 1st is "more important" than a resolution taken randomly around the year. Because that day, many people do it.

but the guy created a facebook event and if one of your friends joins it you will know about it, and since so many people joined the group it is quite possible she found out about it.

This is my 24th consecutive SAD, not that I give a flying rats ass about neither valentines nor SAD. I'm 24. I guess if I showed a little balls I could snag myself a cute little girl with ease, because after all I'm intelligent, handsome and nice(except on 4-ch). The problem is that I'm chicken shit.
It really sucks because I know what I should do so no good advice will ever jump up and bite me, I don't listen to myself, nor others. Heck, cute girls have been chasing me and made open advances on me, even though I seem like a scary motherfucker so most don't even dare to talk to me. Yea, I always try to do that. Had some bad experience with that myself. Thats why while I draw the line by 3 years, I usually try for one year younger or less. First girlfriend was younger than me by 2 years, I found out how immature she was later on(It may have been an internet relationship, But I'm glad it was because I probably would have done somethings I would have regretted if it wasn't.), Then I met another girl who was around my age, and I realized the big difference in maturity. It may not have worked out well with that girl around my age, but we are still very good friends. So I tend to stick close to girls that are closer to my own age or older. Before I had sex in my current relationship, I wasn't a virgin, but my partner was. Nobody felt let down by the experience, no ideas or presumptions were twarted. There is a huge difference between a realistical view on sex, and the media-based impression of sex. I'm very happy in my relationship, sexually as well, and so is my partner.

I.e. TALK and don't bloody assume too much. Assumptions aplenty are very bad. As long as neither of you treat each other like your gender ("hey, all guys/girls have to like this, right? The magazine/my ex said so"), but instead as a new person who may or may not like those things, it'll go well regarless of if you two are virgins or not.
