I would agree, it's hard to translate mangas.
And then, in some editions, they flip everything the wrong way. All of a sudden, everyone's wearing a corpse's yukata.

I think that the biggest problem is not simple misstakes of translation but lack of unification of styles.
Especially they always ignore the context of situation so
terribly like, who's talking to whom, who's pointing what, and
which honorific is used by whom for whom.
Most of publishers (possibly) divide each process of translation
and throw them to different translators, like script-translating,
assignment/arrengement on each dialogue balloon and pages,
and analysis of Japanese cultural background.
