So guys... do you guys know many femal Otaku?
Do you even date one??
I got a otaku-girlfriend, she also draws doujinshi.
Shes more like a doujin-otaku.
I'm an Anime, Manga & Game Otaku.
What Otaku-types match the most?? i really wonder...
your turn.
i'm a female otaku
Currently I don't know any female otaku. But I do know a lot of female narutards.
>>243
Narutards are common nowadays... Especially in fangirls
omg saskay <3
Hello, my girlfreind is kinda an otaku like me but she claims not to be she just thinks shes a fan-girl. She loves anime, shota, yaoi, games, manga you tell me
You+are+so+wrong+dude,+I'm+a+female+who+loves+eroge+and+hentai+(with+my+husband)+and+buys+manga+and+figures+with+all+the+money+left+over+after+things+required+for+life+(sorry,+I+don't+spend+100%25+but+I+don't+live+in+my+parents'+basement+like+you+do!).
I never heard of any Fujoshi that wants Otaku as her boy friend.
will be good if I ever meet any of em in RL though.
I don't understand why being otaku is cool...
My girlfriend and I watch anime and play alot of games, but I don't think either of us would call ourselves otaku. More like just... nerds. Same basic thing but with less association to unwashed weeaboos.
i KNOW a ton of female otaku heck i room with 3 at the convention here last year and gonna again this year but i will admit none are my girlfriend and im still single but hey that can always change....i hope T_T
I'd say I am a female otaku.. I know other people who read manga and watch anime, but they are nowhere near as obsessive as me. I'm a manga otaku, more specifically shojo manga. Though.. I don't really like the term Otaku. It's like being called a geek; It's an insult!!
I am also technically a fujoshi.. as I really like reading shonen ai manga. >_<
lol shoujo is great and shonen too both have good and bad ones so i cant complain about either and im more obsessed with anime than anyone i know too XD
..............hey isn't an otaku...a boy??...in japanese??
What would life be like without animanga lol...I wonder would most people actually go out more...but I'm happy now and would never want it outa my life lol...anyone think the same?
>>256
Otaku is just a word in japan for obssessive geeks, normally talking about gamers or anime fans. Not really gender specific as far as I know, but the stereotype is that they're male.
>>257
Argh, a life without manga would destroy me. I'd be sitting at home in my room, staring out of the window all day. Manga is my escapism and my obsession!! >_<
as long as she's kind at heart, don't see a problem
>>257
Life without manga would destroy me. Not only the physical hard copies missing would suck.. but also online translations!! I live for online translations!! They are my source of life. How could I live without my weekly updates of shoujo manga and my shounen ai downloads? >_<
> How could I live without my weekly updates of shoujo manga and my shounen ai downloads?
Honestly?
>>258
sen i want to chat with you <3...got MSN?
>>262
Is the question directed at the shoujo bit, the shounen ai bit or the fact that i can't live without them in general?
Either way, yes. Honestly. I spend almost all of my spare time reading manga online. They're a major form of escapism for me.
I'm a romantic at heart, hence the shoujo and shounen ai in preference to shounen manga. Not that I don't like shounen.
I'm currently reading liar game, for example.
>>263
Sorry, but no. Plus.. even if I did have MSN, why would I post my address on an anonymous bulleting board where everyone can see it?
¬_¬
Come on, Basic internet safety.
>>264
Thanks for telling me. Not that I would have given my address out anyway.. but still, thanks!
I used to date a female otaku, she was quite attractive too. Every friday she'd come around my place and we'll watch some anime but because she wanted to go home early, about 4pm, I only had about 3 hours with her a week, barring the anime club we met at we didn't get far and broke up a few days after her birthday.
Thinking about this I should post this in the romance board since I want some advice so I'll keep this version short. Most female otaku are either fat or not used to relationships. Admittedly so are men so it's hard for both genders to stop being ronery and discuss how kaiji is moe. The only way I got with her was her non-geeky friend to say "She wants to date you. I gurantee it."
>>267
Either I know alot of people who do not fit the common stereotype, or they're not actually otaku. ^_^
I personally fit the second option: Not used to relationships.
Not that it bothers me. At all, really. I could live without dating anyone. On the otherhand, if my favourite manga was cancelled entirely, I think I might become suicidal.
You may want to consider seeking professional help.
I'm a female otaku. underage tho^_- sorry guys. only 14years but I'm 5ft 9in and b-cup and bi, but I'm a crazy obsessed otaku. I have over 300 volumes of manga and over 28 series'. I have a freind who is kinda like an otaku, but really, shes just perverted. she loves yaoi. and she pretty much only watches the graphic ones. its funny becaus shes this tiny little 84 pound person. anyways,I'm actually trying to learn to write japanese. After watching over 200 series' of anime I memorized about 300 japanese words and it got me interested. I also likedrawing anime style(and I'm pretty damn good at it). Also, what you say at anime conventions is true. those chicks make my eyes burn TT_TT that is so not a place for one lonely bi chick . My parents won't ever let me go to any conventions near me because they think ill get raped. however, i always thaught it would be cool if I could meet my byfrend in an anime convention.
i'm a female otaku ;3
Whoa whoa whoa, I was just browsing through here, but I'm sorry, I can't let >>272 go.
>I'm a female otaku. underage tho^_- sorry guys.
Please learn to type. It's really hard to understand what the hell you're even trying to say when utype lke thids^^.
>^_-
Please don't use emoticons here. They were cute 6 years ago, we've grown out of them now.
>only 14years
Believe me, we can tell. Your immaturity is a real turn off. You're going to have to work hard if you want to fit in here.
>but I'm 5ft 9in and b-cup and bi, but I'm a crazy obsessed otaku
Now you're just fishing for compliments. Please don't do that, it's very annoying, and is not relevant to the topic.
>crazy obsessed otaku. I have over 300 volumes of manga and over 28 series
While it is good that you have a good grasp of the basics, I don't think you're really "crazy obsessed". There are A LOT more people out there that have A LOT more anime, manga, figures, character books, understanding of Japanese culture, etc. I recommend learn you're limits; it can be really embarrassing if you over estimate yourself.
> its funny becaus shes this tiny little 84 pound person.
Again, how is this relevant to the topic?
>anyways,I'm actually trying to learn to write japanese. After watching over 200 series' of anime I memorized about 300 japanese words and it got me interested.
If you're really interested in learning Japanese, anime is the worst place to start. People in Japan do not talk the way they do in anime, and if you were to go over there you would be laughed out of the country.
>I also likedrawing anime style(and I'm pretty damn good at it). Also, what you say at anime conventions is true. those chicks make my eyes burn TT_TT that is so not a place for one lonely bi chick
Cocky, aren't we? How are you so sure your not one of those ugly girls?
>My parents won't ever let me go to any conventions near me because they think ill get raped. however, i always thaught it would be cool if I could meet my boyfriend in an anime convention.
Despite what you may think, your situation is not unique or special. Many parents won't let their kids go to conventions. You should be thankful they even let you watch anime. Also, if you really think you'll meet your boyfriend at a convention, you are sadly mistaken.
You know, the more I read your post, the more I wonder why you're even on 4-ch. I think it would be better for everyone if you were to frequent a website that catered more to your personality. I think you'd be more at home at 4-chan, Anime News Networks forums, or any other number of Anime sites out there.
Gaia has a pretty large anime fanbase. Same goes for >>273 and >>268.
> Please don't use emoticons here. They were cute 6 years ago, we've grown out of them now.
Pretty ironic when spoken on the same board as /dqn
>>272 i just read what you've wrote, hum being 14 years old don't make excuses... saying stupid things we don,t wanna know. Being 14 i don't know if most of teens can affirmed themselves as bi or gay -.- You just got a lot to learn....
>>272
Holy fuck. Get the hell out. I want to kill you and eat the body.
i met a cute otaku girl...she likes lolli fashion and cosplays a lot...
hu... don't jump to conclusion.
In fact i'm not her...
I don't understand the part where i'm as bad as 272...
Anyway, maybe it's just... ahh forget it i don't want to argue with someone.
the current girl im into has nothing to do with the otaku culture... really sad, but she's pretty cute and funny.
i love to watch how my thread develops. ヾ(〃^∇^)ノわぁい♪
oh btw, i broke up with that gf that i had when i started this thread. well actually she broke up with me, lol. whatever :>

Ich habe tried gaia online und Es gehabt alt schnell. watashi ga am crunchyroll.com und there we use emoticons like crazy. coumaenae no strict-man-san fur using them here. Und Ich habe eine superiority complex und lack of conscience. Und fur dein info, Ich habe hat 2 boyfriends before. one was 15 while I was 12 and the second one 17 when I was 13-14. we broke up tho. so >:P pbbbbbbt!
272 is such a crappy number. I wish I had posted first before someone else.
o yea-just wondering. why do guys buy the anime doll action figures? they don't do anything. I bought a stuffed animal polar bear but at least it keeps me warm cuz its so big.
they see me trollin'
they hatin'
287 is not me!! watashi janai! okaite watashi no kanche surun TT_TT
We know, >>287 sounded way too mature, and didn't even include any broken japanese.
Not to mention you have two different ID codes.
I like Pokeman hentai.
>>291
who doesnt sir?
youre slightly offtopic, though
Fujoshi??? (blushes) If only I ever can date one .........(^v^)
>>293
that'd be hot.
i wonder if they shave. lol. jK
>>294
Congratulations you just make this thread female unfriendly!
>>295 Agreed! >.< way to scare them away!
sorry, haha :)<3
There are no girls in the interwebs except those who try to be one
NOOOO!!!!!!!!!
acts scared
Speaking of hentai.. I wonder what other female otaku think about it.
I'm personally ok with it. I read yaoi and I have read some mild hentai.. though the focus is normally on the girl (as is expected, really) rather than the guy. However, I know some female otaku who despise the thought of hentai, let alone reading it. They also claim to not like yaoi which to me is a little odd, as most female otaku (aside from those few) enjoy yaoi immensely.
I said most female otaku.. but i meant out of the ones I have spoken to. Because it sounds like a massive generalisation otherwise.
Still. I refuse to believe there are any female otaku who don't like yaoi. It's like male otaku who don't like hentai. Impossible!!
Like Ohno san said, 'there is no such thing as a girl who hates yaoi!!'
They had to be lying.
Sorry for the double post. I just... needed to say that.
You may want to point out which parts of that reply you believe in
>>301
yaoi is what hentai is for male otaku...
thats correct :)
but i guess male wota use it different than girls lol
exmpl. fapfapfapfap
They would use shlick since the fap trend came from the same place
I was wondering if THERE IS a REAL fujoshi reading this thread.....(silently lol'd)
They are too busy writing slash and chasing after visual kei bands
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
(dreams of a fujoshi with Arisa Mizuhara looks ^^ ) :P
Arisa Mizuhara is already pretty nerdy.
>>312
shut up, noone cares about your opinion.
>>311
oi, you are referring to whom here??? =__________________=
btw...I was wondering what type of guys that fujoshis dreamed to dated with??
Those that look like Ronald McDonald run over by a Hot Topic truck
ouch...
They do sound like a cat being castrated with a rusty butter knife
You are right maybe being dressed like LSD ridden whore suits them
Seven Seas had manga about this topic being released at some point
>>320
I also feel like I've been murdered with a rusty butter knife.
Ronald Mcdonald ran over by a hot topic truck?
Dressed like an LSD ridden whore?
TT_TT Yay for stereotypes.
320 here....
TT_TT Yaaaa..............y...........
You do realize all those stereotypes above are to visual kei bands
>>325
I see....But wats wrong with fujoshis then??? They are innocent!!!
well as long as they don't get screwed themselves....
We can still hope on the casual fangirl willing to have their kids
ok......
A new remake of Metropolis and Astroboy is also cool
Shit, wrong post!
>>330-331
???????????
My mistake was Media Blasters not Seven Seas who does Fujoshi Rumi
>>231
Sorry to be commenting on a post so far back but I just found this thread.
I always considered a "Japanophile" to be someone who, like a xenophile does with foreign cultures in general, enjoys Japanese culture.
I don't know, it's difficult for me to define where I would fit (weeaboo, otaku, Japanophile, et cetera) because I like Japanese culture and have been studying Japanese for several years. In addition to this I do enjoy anime and manga, but I wouldn't lose my interest in Japan without these. However, my interest in anime does take up quite a bit of time for me...
>>301
I sincerely dislike yaoi and I'm female. I don't know if I qualify as an otaku, but I would say that I do because of how much I do enjoy anime and manga. To each his/her own, right? I don't find yaoi thrilling in the least.
Maybe it makes us a terrible person to assume every guy likes Yuri
Most of them are narutards.
They seem to be more interested in slash than their actual battles
True...
Angelic Layer was not good enough without having ample slash ideas
I've yet to meet a female otaku that isn't an uninformed moron.
